Leonard A. Bagley, 71, formerly of Buffalo and Lockport, a retired manufacturer's representative, died Tuesday (Dec. 1, 1998) in Heathwood Health Care Center, Amherst. A native of Lockport, Bagley was a self-employed manufacturer's representative for 40 years. He was an Army veteran. Bagley was a deacon of Deerhurst Presbyterian Church, Kenmore. A marathon runner, he was a member of the Nickel City Road Runners and a 30-year member and past president of the Rochester Road Runners. He also was a stock-car owner and an avid racing fan at Lancaster Speedway. Bagley was a 1952 graduate of the University of Buffalo. Survivors include his wife, Ellyn Kaplan Ruslander Bagley; a son, Samuel L. of Gasport; three daughters, Lisa, Susan Sanford and Rhonda Harms, all of Clearwater, Fla.; his mother, Ida Mae; a stepson, Harold L. Ruslander Jr. of Clearwater; two stepdaughters, Nancy Haas of Wonderlake, Ill., and Ruth Szanto of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Linda Kamman of Amherst and Rhoda Ann Harrington; and eight grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Gaul Funeral Home, 263 East Ave. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
