ARLINGTON - Varnie Ray Vaughan, a retired carpenter, died Saturday at his Arlington home. He was 87.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Coker Funeral Home in Sanger. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
Mr. Vaughan was born in Bolivar and lived in Gordonville before moving to Arlington, where he lived one year.
Survivors: Wife, Bonnie Mae Vaughan of Arlington; daughter, Jo Ann Johnson of Denton; son, A.J. Vaughan of Arlington; sister, Jessie Mae Melton of Cleburne; four brothers, Willie Vaughan of Fort Worth, J.C. Vaughan and Troyce Vaughan, both of Florida, and Monroe Vaughan of Garland; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
