J. Rush Wimberly, Jr.
Arcadia, LA - Services for Mr. J. Rush Wimberly, Jr., 75, of Arcadia, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 26, 1982 at Conger’s Funeral Chapel in Arcadia. Rev. Charles McCullin of Atlanta, Georgia will officiate.
Burial will be in Arcadia Cemetery. Conger’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wimberly died a 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 1982 at the Bienville General Hospital of heart failure following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Wimberly was owner of Wimberly Construction Company. He served in the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers in the South Pacific during World War II and received the Purple Heart. He was a member of the First Methodist Church in Arcadia.
Mr. Wimberly is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jewel H. Wimberly; one son, J. Rush Wimberly, III; one sister, Mrs. Edrie W. Albrecht; one grandson, J. Rush Wimberly, IV.
