SPANISH AMERICAN WAR VETERAN WIDOW
Hattie E. Peak was born at Wakefield in Kansas, on 7 January 1882. She is the daughter of Henry Clay and Susan Ella (Grow) Peak.
On 6 August 1901, at Port Orchard in Washington, Hattie married Robert Eben Bucklin (1878-1942). Together they had , according to her personal record at the Washington Veterans Home, five children. Their children were Robert W. Bucklin (1902-1998) of Spokane, Washington,Nathan E. Bucklin (1905-1976) of Winslow, Washington, Ronald E. Bucklin (1909-1983) of Port Blakely, Washington, Curtis Vann Bucklin (1912-2004) of Winslow, Washington, and Lincoln Brice Bucklin (1918-1988) of San Francisco, California. Robert and Hattie remained together until the death of Robert.
At the age of eighty five, on 22 September 1968, Hattie passed away.
