Paul C. Ricker, 79 died Wednesday at 4:52am in his residence. He was the husband of Pauline M. (Blimline) Ricker. Born in New Berlin, Union County, he was the son of the late John and Minerva (Reed) Ricker. Ricker was a self-employed mechanic until his retirement. He was an Army Veteran of World War II. Other survivors include three sons. There is also a sister, Florence, in Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren and a great grand-child. Services will be held Friday at 10:30a.m. in Laureldale Cemetary Chapel.

Paul along with his wife, Pauline, was the owner-operator of the Sunoco gas station and the Tasty-treat ice cream stand along Rt. 61 in Leesport, Pa., from 1958-1967. Upon his move to Leesport in 1958, he had the ice cream stand erected, as to supplement the gas station where he was also an auto mechanic. He had later worked at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel in Reading; the Reading Motor Inn, and the Sheraton in Wyomissing as a maintenance man.
