Gilbert R. Alexander, 76, died March 4, 1983, at the Dennett Road Manor Nursing Home. He was born in Accident, Maryland, May 8, 1906, and was a son of the late Ralph M. Alexander and Adeline E. (McGettigan) Alexander. He was a retired timberman and was a member of the Brethren Church. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Metzger, Baltimore, Maryland; Mrs. Nora Fulk, Bayard, W.Va., and one brother, Arthur Alexander, Meyersdale. Friends were received at the Stewart Funeral Home where services were conducted by the Rev. Donald Matthews. Interment, Hoyes Catholic Cemetery. The Republic, Meyersdale, Pa., March 10, 1983
