According to the 1930 census provided by Carol, Arthur, age 42, was living with his wife Rosie D, age 53, at 1125 S Pearl in Independence MO. His age when first married is 32; hers 18; so Arthur is not her first husband, but she is his first wife. They had been married 10 years, but had no children living with them, so it seems likely that they never had any children.
He stated he was born in NY and his parents were born in the United States, not giving a particular state. Rosie was born in MO, and her father and mother are from VA and MO respectively. Arthur listed himself as a carpenter. Census says he served in the military during WWI.
On 4-24-1932, a woman named Rosa D (Clark) Wilson, wife of Arthur Wilson, died of bronchial pneumonia in Chillicothe MO. She was born 12-16-1876, daughter of Elias Franklin Clark (VA) and Margaret Jackson (IN). I suspect this is Arthur's wife, despite the discrepancy in her mother's birthstate. MO DC#13160 informant is Mr Frank E Clark of Chillicothe, a brother maybe? I am going to link them together, but if you know this is not correct, please let me know. Her stone is inscribed "MOTHER", so I suspect she is buried there with her first husband or parents. Have requested photo of her stone.
