Former Resident of Norway Dies

Mrs. Emil G. Johnson, 73, of 206 North Lake St., Ironwood, a former resident of Norway, died Thursday morning at Grand View Hospital in Ironwood.

The former Jennie Rehn, she was born June 19, 1897, in Norway, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Rehn. She attended Norway public schools and married the late Emil G. Johnson April 3, 1920, in Norway.

She was a 50-year member of Salem Lutheran Church and also a member of Salem Seniors, LCW, American Legion Auxiliary and the General Pershing Auxiliary.

She had resided in Ironwood since 1916.

She leaves two sons, Ivar of Ironwood, and Donald of Royal Oak; two daughters, Mrs. Eugene H. Nylund, Audburn Hieghts, and Mrs. Eugene Anderson of Madison; a brother, Henning Rehn of Norway; three sisters, Mrs. Helga Johnson, Wakefield; Mrs. August Carlson of Kingsford, and Mrs. E. G. Johnson of Minocqua, Wis., and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church.

Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood.
