Mr. Austin, a successful Blacksmith, lived at 13 Porter Street. According to his obituary, he died leaving a wife, two brothers and four sisters.

Mr. J. L Austin married Margaret Marinda Kemp on September 28, 1876, in Fulton County, Georgia. They were married by A. Martin, Justice of the Peace. Margaret may have died in 1899. I can't locate an obituary or burial site for her.

Their children may have been;

Alice Montana Austin was born in DeKalb in 1878. She married Joel Simpson Wheeler in 1894. She may have died in 1899. I don't have a definite DOD for her, or burial location.

Chessie E Austin born in 1879, died 1900. She married James Simeon Dildy and seems to have died giving birth.

Mattie Lee Austin may have been born in 1888. She may have died in 1898. I haven't located further information on her yet.
