Roland William "Jake" Fehler, 84, of Louisville, died Monday, May 26, 2003, at Caritas Medical Center. A native of Louisville, he was born June 23, 1918. He was a retired press operator for Tube Turns, where he worked for 39 years, a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Aline Gries; daughters, Donna Marie Blanks, Sharon Ann Epperly and Martha Fehler Pyles; sons-in-law, Ed Epperly and James Blanks; sisters-in-law, Henrietta Gries and Mary Delores Hester; grandchil- dren, Stacy and James Blanks and Cory and Ryan Pyles; nephews, Kevin and Billy Hester, Jerry Kessinger and Denny and Wayne Michels; and nieces, Darlene Hall, Pat Johnson, Kimberly Hall, Pam Hester, Barbara Miller and Dana Kuerzi. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Hwy., with entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens-West Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 1-3 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Memorials may be made to his church or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
