To this union were these known children: Lavale Gainey, Sarah "Sallie" Ann, John Abraham, Mary Jane, Ananias, Joseph Thomas, James S.(C), Bartholomew Joseph, Moses B.,Jr., and Barney Blackburn Westbrook. Lavale Gainey born in 1796 in Westbrook Township, Sampson Co., NC and died in 1851 in Fayette Co., GA and have not been able to locate his grave. Lavale Gainey married Abigail WOOD in 1826 in Johnston Co., NC. Abigail is buried in the Oak Hill Cemetery at Griffin, Spalding Co., GA. Lavale and Aigail were the parents of these known children: John Sellers, Marshall H., Joseph E., Lavale Gainey, Jr., Moses Marion, Betsy "Betty" Ann and Bryan Allen Westbrook. Second child: Sarah "Sallie" Ann was born 1798 in Westbrook Township, Sampson Co., NC and died before 1821 in Sampson Co., NC. Sallie married Eldridge Thornton (died Aug. 19,, 1849 in Sampson Co., NC). To this union was born this known child: Ursula born in Nov in Sampson Co., NC and died Oct. 11, 1836. Son, John Abraham born 1801 in Westbrook Township, Sampson Co, Nc and died in 1848 in Hardeman Co., TN. (cemetery not known) John Abraham married Piercy Ann NEW in 1826 in North Carolina. To this union were born these known children: Stephen Douglas, James, Moses Francis, Mary "Molly", Jasper, Caroline, Abraham, Betty and William Westbrook. Son, James born 1820 in Westbrook Township, Sampson Co., NC and died after 12 May 1885 in Haralson (formerly Carroll)Co., GA. James married Lockie BOUGHAM.
