I would love to see more pictures of John A. Bland as a young man, especially one of him in uniform from his days with the 86th, but at this point, I would just love to see some more pictures of John added to his FAG site, even some of him as a 50, 60 or 70 year old man. In the 1899 reunion reunion booklet, it was reported that John Bland's new mailing address was Winfield, Kansas.
By 1900, William Henry Bland moved to Grant County, Oklahoma, where they reside in Salt Fork Township. John Bland is known to have resided there in Grant County the last few years of his life. Whether he moved there first or whether he followed his nephew there is not known. John Bland died there in Grant County of a heart attack on August 2, 1904.
