Harold Adcock of Monroe died January 22 in Athens. He was 80.

The son of the late Seabon and Demmie Brockwell Adcock, he was a life-long resident of Walton County. A retired furniture salesman, he was employed by Sanders Furniture Co. and Williamson Furniture co. He was a member and deacon of Harmony Baptist church.

Funeral services were held Jan 24 in Harmony Baptist church. The Rev. Michael Hornsby and Dr. Donald Brett officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Hawk, C. A. Malcom, Roger Queen, Wallace Thompson, Tommy Adcock and Hilyer Smith. Deacons served as honorary escort.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Annette Queen Adcock, two daughters, Mrs. Hoyt (Glinda) Still and Mrs. Jimmy (Marilyn) Briscoe, both of Monroe, two sons Nelson Adcock and Terry Adcock, both of Monroe, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
