Jack BARTEE

WINTERS (RNS) - Jack BARTEE, 65, of Winters died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Spill Memorial Chapel.

The Rev. Melvin BYRD, pastor of the Nolan Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Shep Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 15, 1907, at Truitt. The family moved to Crews and in 1910 to Wingate. In 1919, they moved to Shep. He married Maude HOWARD Aug. 14, 1932. He was a veteran of World War II. They moved to Gatesville State School for 20 years. Mr. BARTEE also farmed. They moved to Winters in late July.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Butch of Shep; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be G. M. MEADOR, W. O. STOREY, B. J. LAWHEN, R. T. DUNLAP, Troy PILLION and J. L. COOK.
