Ms. Jacquita Jenkins
Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home
Ms. Jacquita Jones Jenkins, age 60, died Thursday June 16, 2005 after a long illness under the care of Heritage Inn and two wonderful caregivers, Maggie Golding of Ellabell and Virginia Hodges of Statesboro. Ms. Jenkins was an active member of the Brooklet United Methodist Church and sang in the church choir. She was preceded in death by her father, W.K. Jones.
Surviving are her mother and step-father Nellie and Dan Deal of Brooklet; two sons and daughters-in-law Dwayne and Patience Jenkins of Statesboro, E. Thomas and Serena Jenkins of Brooklet; three daughters and sons-in-law Michelle and Dan Carrillo of Apache, Oklahoma, Daphne Crosby of Isle of Hope, and Natalie and Chris Nubern of Easton Pennsylvania; three brothers and sisters-in-law Jerome and Ginny Jones of Brooklet, Jarell and Joy Jones of Statesboro and Jeffrey and Carol Jones of Kingsland, Ga.; ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Ms. Jenkins will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Brooklet First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wes Moye and Elder W.H. Durrence officiating. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Jones, Jordan Jones, Jim Jones, John Jenkins, Kem Jones, and Brian Bradford. Burial will be in the Brooklet City Cemetery.
The family request that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Research Center, 640 Jackson Street, St. Paul, MN 55101-2595.
