PORT LAVACA — Will Leo Blevins, 71, of Seadrift, died at 1.30 a.m. Thursday in a local hospital.
He was born Dec. 3, 1907, in Whitehall. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II and a member of Seadrift Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Seadrift Baptist Church, with the Rev. Don Gallitin officiating.
Burial will be in Seadrift Cemetery, under the direction of Richardson Funeral Home of Port Lavaca.
Mr. Blevins is survived by his wife, Thelma Blevins of Seadrift; eight sons, Roger Blevins of San Antonio and Marcus, Wesley, David. Kenneth, James Ray, Gary and Walter, all of Seadrift; five daughters, Mrs. Donald Stanley of Port Lavaca and Mrs. Betty Cunningham, Mrs Elizabeth Sprague, Mrs. Shirley Helms and Mrs. Dora Ballard, all of Seadrift; a brother, Joe Blevins of Zapata; two sisters, Miss Laura Blevins of Waco and Mrs. Ida Hoffman of Austin; and 21 grandchildren.
Nephews will be the pallbearers.
