"Charles H. Hurley, retired paint salesman who lived at 1740 Division St. S., until a year ago, died Friday morning at the Masonic Home in Alma. He was 84.
"Born in Vernon, N.Y. Mr. Hurley came to Grand Rapids 57 years ago. He retired 20 years ago. He was a life member of Malta Lodge, F&AM. His wife, Alice E. died last November.
"Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Claude Warner of Coopersville, Mrs. Floyd Riegling, Mrs. Walter Brown, Mrs. James Gedris, Mrs. Milton Register, all of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. James Everhart of Los Angeles; two sons, John W. Hurley of Paoli, PA and Edward C. Hurley of Chesterton, Ill., 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
"Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Sullivan Chapel. Burial will be in Restlawn Mausoleum."
