Ronald J. LeBansky, a spontaneous man of 77 years, who could easily make a friend, passed away on Thursday morning, May 13, 2010 at Sunny Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center with his wife and daughter beside him.
Ron was born in Hub City, WI on February 15, 1933 a son of the late James and Marguerite (Berry) LeBansky.
He attended schools in that area graduating from Cazenovia High School as salutatorian. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee receiving a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree. He later attended Racine-Kenosha Teachers College and received his teaching degree.
Ron served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict.
On May 9, 1959 he was united in marriage to Shirley Malvick in Wauwatosa.
He was employed with various businesses and retired from Continental Can Company.
Ron enjoyed making friends and could change plans quickly. A family picnic could suddenly turn into an overnight camping adventure. He enjoyed the outdoors hunting, camping and traveling and appreciated his collection of guns.
Ron is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley, his three children, their spouses and two grandchildren, Brian and Rachel LeBansky and their daughter, Monica of Austin, Texas; Laurie and Marc Tebon and their son, Mitchell of Mequon, Diane and Bruce Cable of Agua Dulce, CA; his two sisters, Beverly (Ervin) Cole of Reedsburg and Jeanne (Gene) Hynek of Richland Center. Many nieces, nephews and other relatives and family survive.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dale in 2000.
Ron was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Town Wilson.
A funeral service for Ron will be held May 17 at Trinity Lutheran Church Town Wilson with Rev. Frederick Jabs officiating. Burial will be on Tuesday morning at the Boaz Cemetery in Boaz, WI.
