Montgomery Advertiser, Jan 14, 1957 - Dr. John Randolph Penton, 65, a well known Montgomery physician died n a local hospital today at 8:05 am following an illness of four weeks. A resident of Montgomery for 50 years, Dr. Penton resided at 807 E. Fairview Ave. He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church here. Survivors: his widow, Mrs. Minnie McKay Penton; 2sons: Dr. John Randolph Penton, Jr.-Montgomery & Dr. George Blue Penton-Montgomery; bro: Dr. Sims F. Penton - Wetumpka; 2sis: Mrs. Annie Arant & Mrs. Bessie Penton Granger-Equality; 2gch: Mary Ann & Betty Jean Penton & a number of nieces & nephews. The funeral will be conducted from Trinity Presbyterian Church Tues., at 3 pm with burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
