Bright, 81, died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday in Lincoln General Hospital, Ruston. A native of Elizabeth Town, Ky., he was a retired employee of Tremont and Gulf Railroad and the U.S. Postal Service.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl Davis Bright of Chatham; two sons, Francis Everett Bright of North Little Rock, Ark., and Charles Edward Bright Jr. of Mobile, Ala.; seven daughters, Mildred Hubbard of Bossier City, Betty Barton of Grand Isle, Bonnie Strickland of Houma, Thelma Drewett of Lake Charles, Mary Sue Jones of Tulsa, Okla., Lillie Cobb of Thibodaux, and Carolyn Whatley of Pineville; 42 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
