Mrs. W. F. Ball called by Death Last Evening
Was One of Best Known Women in City

Fargo, N.D., June 24-- Mrs. Mary A., beloved wife of Col. W. F. Ball, passed into the unknown yesterday afternoon at the family residence, 623 Eighth street south, after a long illness from gastritis and a complication of the disease.

Mrs. Ball was born in the state of Michigan, and 45 years ago last Christmas she was united in marriage to Col. Wilbur F. Ball. As a result of that union the following children were born who are now living: W. M. Ball, of the Wheelock & Wheelock Co.; John G. Ball, a traveling salesman of St. Paul, and Mrs. Charles A. Wheelock of this city. The family had resided in this city for more than 30 years and Mrs. Ball had the pleasure of seeing Fargo grow from a very small beginning to a comparatively large city.

She took an interest in all that was for the betterment of the city and was a woman who held the esteem and respect of all who knew her. Sh was of a loveable disposition, always ready to do her part in the uplifting of those about her, and was known the youngest looking woman of her age in the city. She was the life of any company that she was in, for was pleasant and kind to all about her and in every walk of life will be missed. She was loved by a large circle of friends.

The funeral will take place on Saturday afternoon from the family residence at 2:30 o'clock. The funeral arrangements are in charge of Undertaker Daugherty, and interment will be made in Riverside Cemetery.
