Willis Moss CRAFT's parents were Hon. Willlis CRAFT (1809-1874) and Martha T. FRANKLIN (1809-1880).

Willis enlisted as a Private on 23 August 1862 in Company A, 15th Infantry Regiment Georgia. He was transfered on 15 September 1862 from Company A to Company F (estimated day of transfer). He was recorded as a farmer, living with his parents in Gaines, Elbert Co., GA in 1860 and 1870.

The excerpt below is from the Weekly Telegraph And Messenger, Macon, Georgia September 4, 1885. It is from an article about the death of Willis Moss CRAFT's brother, Hon. John Franklin CRAFT and their father, Hon. Willis CRAFT.

Atlanta, August 28 - In the Senate this morning, at 12 o'clock, the special order was the report of the committee appointed to prepare suitable resolutions on the death of the late Senator Craft.

Hon. John Franklin Craft was born in the county of Elbert and at the date of his death had attained the age of forty seven years. He was the oldest son of Hon. Willis Craft who was much respected by his people and who frequently represented his county and district in the general assembly of the state.
