Josephine was the child of John and Lucy (CLEMENTS) FENDERSON

She married William Charles HOUSEL on March 21, 1871 in Owego, NY.

"Mrs. Josephine F. HOUSEL, widow of William Housel, died early this morning at her home a mile south of Nichols on the state highway, aged 72 years. Her funeral will be held at the house on Saturday, but the hour has not yet been fixed. Rev. Benjamin Klauser, of Nichols, will officiate and the burial will be in the Nichols cemetery. Mrs. HOUSEL was the daughter of John and Lucy (CLEMENTS) FENDERSON, and was born April 7, 1854, in the town of Nichols. After her marriage she lived in Pennsylvania several years. She leaves two sons, L.W. HOUSEL, of Humboldt, Iowa, and R.C. HOUSEL, of Endicott . She was a sister of Mrs. Mary N. Perry, of Canton, Pa., and the late John FENDERSON of this village."
