Ruby E. Davis, 87, Reynolds, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 1995, at Trinity Medical
Center, East Campus, Moline.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Jinks Family Funeral Services, Milan.
Burial is in Chapel Grove Cemetery, Taylor Ridge.
Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Bark Road Baptist
Church, Cave City, Ky., where she was a member, or the United Methodist
Church, Taylor Ridge.
The former Ruby E. Blair was born June 20, 1908, in Cave City, the daughter of
B.J. and Nellie DeVore Blair. She married Glen B. Davis Aug. 15, 1926, in
Jeffersonville, Ind.
Mrs. Davis was employed as head chef at the former Bring'er Inn, Milan, for 25
years. She then worked at Country Manor, Milan, for two years, retiring at age
77.
She was a member of a ladies' club.
She enjoyed cooking and flowers.
Survivors include the widower; daughters and sons-in-law, Molly and Glen Cook,
Edgington, and Marie and John Smith, Stewartsville, Mo.; sons and
daughters-in-law, Demmie and Cheryl Davis, Santa Maria, Calif., and Mardyne
and Joyce Davis, Milan; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a
sister, Pearl Hart, Clearlake, Fla.
