Mrs Lucretia Stoops

Mrs Lucretia Stoops, age 83, of 1307 West Second Street, widow of Albert Stoops, died at 1, o'clock this morning at
St. John's Hospital after an illness of two years. She had
resided all of her life in Anderson. She was a member of the
Church of Christ. Her husband died in 1949.
Surviving are four sons, William, Albert, Carson and Marshall Stoops, all of Anderson: three daughters, Mrs. Leatha Clouser and Mrs. Madge Mitchell, here, and Mrs Dora Lear, Cedar Rapids, Ia; a nephew, Jack Neese, who resided with Mrs. Stoops; 25 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. William Kreegar, and one brother, Lewis Davis, both of Anderson.

The body was taken to the Brown and Eckenberg funeral home, where friends will be received tomorrow after 1 p.m. Funeral rites will be conducted there at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon by Rev. Borden Higginbotham, pastor of the Church of Christ. Burial will be in the Masonic section of Memorial Park.
