CAMPTON — Richard C "Red" Anderson, 62, of Depot Road, died December 9, 1993, in Veterans Administration Hospital, White River Junction, Vermont after a lengthy illness. Born in Shelburne, Massachusetts, he was the son of Carl B and Nellie (Pervere) Anderson. He lived most of his life in the Plymouth area. During World War II he served in the US Navy. Mr Anderson worked for Hitchiner Manufacturing Company, Littleton. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.

Family members include Carl B and Nellie (Pervere) Anderson. his wife, Elaine (Kuchinsky) Anderson of Campton; a son, Richard C Anderson of Victory, Vermont; a daughter, Nellie I. Shaffer of Augusta, Georgia; four grandchildren; a great grandchild; three stepsons, Joseph DeGrace of Thornton, David DeGrace of Meredith and James DeGrace of Bridgewater; two stepdaughters, Doreen McLaughlin of Campton and Jean Sleeper of Plymouth; 20 step-grandchildren; four brothers, Ronald Anderson, William Anderson, Jon Anderson and Michael Anderson, all of Athol, Massachusetts; a sister Virginia Hatch of Athol; nieces and nephews.

Calling hours were Sunday from 2 to 4 pm in Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon Street, Plymouth. The funeral was Monday at 1 pm in Calvary Independent Baptist Church, West Plymouth. Pastor Richard Anderson officiated. Burial was in Mad River Cemetery, Thornton.
