Geraldine Epps, 91, of Atlanta, GA, passed away December 26, 2007. Mrs. Epps was a member of Wieuca Road Baptist Church in Atlanta. She was a loving mother, grandmother, but most of all a friend. Mrs. Epps enjoyed visits with her immediate and extended family, she was an avid Braves fan, although she was unable to attend the games she faithfully watched on T.V. Mrs. Epps is preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years Mr. Ben T. Epps, and is survived by a son and daughter in-law, Ben and Patrice Epps of Morganton, GA; daughter Tommy Sue Epps Washington State; grandchildren Dorothy Sue Schaffner of Tallahassee, FL, Shannon Marie Johnson of Mid Vale, UT; great-grandchildren: A.J. Schaffner, Courtney Schaffner, Abby Schaffner, Taylor Johnson, Meagan Johnson, Tanner Johnson; brother Ben F. Wallace of Gainesville, GA and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Epps will be held 2:00 o'clock Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Oglethorpe Hill chapel with Rev. Jeana Fortenberry officiating. Interment will follow at Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens, GA, with a gravesides service at 4:30 PM. The family will receive friends Saturday December 29, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. H.M.
