Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. today, May 23, for James W. Adams of route 4 Morgantown.

Adams died Sunday afternoon, May 20, at the Morgan County Hospital from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was 23.

He was born May 10, 1956, the son of Harry L. and Bernice (Edwards) Adams.

He was a member of the Bean Blossom Baptist Church, DeMolay at Greenwood and the Retail Food Clerk's Union.

Formerly the assistant manager of Standard Food Store in Franklin until January, 1979, he was currently employed at mayflower Moving and Storage Company as a driver.

Survivors include the parents; two brothers, Stephen at home and Robert who is stationed with the Army at Ft. Knox, Kentucky; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Milburn Adams of Connersville and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Edwards of Hot Springs, Arkansas; several aunts and uncles.

Services will be conducted at the Bean Blossom Baptist Church with the Rev. James Brown officiating.

Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery.

Arrangements have been made by Myers-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.
