Lucy (Wandoch) Thomas, age 78m, formerly of Caroline Ave., Toledo, died Sunday, April 21, 20020, in Heartland of Browning Care Center, Waterville, OH after a long illness. She was born in Toledo, December 29, 1923, to Felix and Stella (Firek) Wandoch and was married to James H. Thomas, who preceded her in death in 1994.
Lucy was a member of Collingwood United Methodist Church. She and her husband, were avid fishermen and spent many summers fishing Lake Erie. Lucy was also an avid gardener, loved raising vegetables and tending to her flower gardens. She enjoyed cooking for her family, too.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Stanley Wandoch, and sister, Virginia Vandock; Lucy is survived by her sons, David (Barbara) Thomas of Curtice, OH and Robert (Susan) Thomas of Toledo; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers, Roy (Marilyn)Vandoch, and sisters, Esther (Donald) Schupp, Loretta (Leland) Brehm and Teresa Talbott.
Friends will be received from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Blanchard Bros. Funeral Home, 1163 W. Sylvania Ave. where funeral services will be hels 11 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2002. Burial will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
