Dr. Billy B. Epps, 54, 190 Carlton Terrace, owner and president of Epps Pharmacy, died Wednesday, June 25.
A native of Clarke County, he was a son of the late Roy Bedford and Pauline Thompson Epps. He was a graduate of Athens High School and the University of Georgia, where he received a pharmacy degree. A veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army, he was associated with Warren J. Smith Drug Company prior to opening Epps Pharmacy. He was a member of Milledge Avenue Baptist Church, the Athens Pharmaceutical Association and Mount Vernon Lodge No. 22 F&AM.
Graveside services were scheduled for 5 pm today in Oconee Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Wesley D. Stephens officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nelle Price Epps; two sons, Dr. David R. Epps, Beaufort, N. C., and Dr. Billy B Epps, Jr., Houston, Texas; and a sister, Mrs. Selma Pryor, Athens.
Bridges Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
