Nancy Scales Robinson was the daughter of George N. Robinson and Mary Scales. Nancy was born on September 30, 1857 in Memphis, Shelby County, Tennessee. She married Dr. Joseph Henry Leslie Sr. on Oct. 13, 1883 at Clarksville, Montgomery County, Tennessee at the home of her uncle, Judge Scales. Dr. Leslie and Nancy were the parents of three children, Preston Hopkins Leslie, Mary Louisa Minor Leslie Johnson and Joseph Henry Leslie Jr., all of whom lived to adulthood. Dr. Leslie died Dec. 13, 1900 at St. Louis, Missouri and was buried in Barren County, Kentucky.
Nancy Scales Robinson died 3 January 1907 Tuscaloosa, Tuscaloosa County, Alabama and was buried in Florence Cemetery in Florence, Lauderdale County, Alabama. Her obit is below.

This estimable lady, who went to Tuscaloosa several weeks ago in search of health, was relieved of her long sufferings last Thursday morning by the death angel, and her remains were brought to this city for interment Friday afternoon. Service was conducted by the Rector of the Trinity Church, Rev. R. R. Harris.

Dr. J. H. Leslie, a prominent physician of St. Louis, was united in marriage at 4 o'clock pm on Wednesday to Miss Nannie Robertson, of Clarksville. The wedding occurred at the residence of Judge Scales, the bride's uncle, in Clarksville. Ex-Gov. Leslie, of Kentucky, father of the groom, was among the distinguished guests present. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie left on the six o'clock train for New York, to visit relatives.
