He was a teacher at Gilmanton Academy, a tutor at Dartmouth College.

He was also magistrate and treasurer of Gilmanton. In 1833 he was the trustee for Gilmanton Academy which he help that position for 42 years.

He was the Deacon of the Centre Congregational Church for nearly 39 years

2. Thomas Burns Mack 1832–1851(attending Dartmouth College)
3. Maria Burns Mack 1835–1852
