Archer G. Bell married Mary Warren Jones in Surry County, Virginia. They had three children: Edward Lynn Bell, Fletcher Lee Bell and Donald Wayne Bell, Sr.

ARCHIE G. BELL
Archie G. Bell, 59, of 207 North 8th Ave. died early today in John Randolph Medical Center after being ill for the past several months.
Mr. Bell, who was born March 22, 1901 in Surry county, had resided in Hopewell for the past year, coming here from Petersburg. He had been employed by the Titmus Optical Co. of Petersburg for the past 30 years and was a member of the West End Baptist Church of Petersburg. He was the son of the late Julia A. and William R. [supposed to be A. for Almarine] Bell of Surry county.
In addition to his wife, Mrs. Mary W. Bell, survivors are three sons, Fletcher L. Bell, Edward L. Bell and Donald W. Bell, all of Hopewell; three sisters, Mrs. Leatha A. Bryant of Dinwiddie county, Mrs. Emma Barrett of Petersburg and Mrs. Margaret Harrison of Prince George; and two granddaughters.
Friends may call at the Gould Funeral Home where a service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Woodrow W. Hill, pastor of West End Baptist Church of Petersburg, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Morris E. Taylor, pastor of First Congregational Christian Church of Hopewell.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
