Ervin A. Burk, Jr., 56, longtime Erie, Kansas resident, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Elmhaven West Nursing Home, Parsons, Kansas, after a short illness.
He was born on Oct. 19, 1953 at Tacoma, Washington.
He was raised in Missouri and attended school at Springfield, MO.
He had worked as a handyman in Parsons and Erie for many years.
Survivors include his parents, Ervin A. and Clara Burk, of Pueblo, CO; three sisters, Patricia Beach, of Parsons, KS, Joanne Pirnie, of Phoenix, AZ, and Esther Clark, of Albuquerque, NM,; two brothers, Alvin K. Burk, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Christopher Burk, of Pueblo, CO.
The body will be cremated. No services are scheduled.
Memorials are suggested to the American Diabetes Association and may be left at or mailed to the Pierce-Carson-Wall Funeral Home, P.O. Box 182, Erie, KS, 66733.
