Barbara F. Harmon
Barbara F. Harmon, 77, formerly of 100 State Street died Monday in a local Nursing home after a long illness.
She was born in Saco, a daughter of Joseph R. and Cora Staples Lavigne. She attended Portland schools and was a 1927 graduate of Portland High School. She also attended Gray's Business School.
Mrs. Harmon was employed at the Woodfords School for several years.
Her husband Stanley Harmon died in 1959.
She is survived by three sons, Donald of California, David of Portland, and Robert of Denver Colorado, two daughters, Mrs. John (Ann) Davenport of Boscawen N.H. and Deborah Parker Harmon of Westbrook, 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hay and Peabody funeral Home, Dunstan Corner, Scarborough. Burial will be in Black Point Cemetery in the Spring.
