Register of Deeds for Caswell County, North Carolina 1900-1910

According to census records, Frederick William Brown was the Caswell County Register of Deeds in 1900. About 1901 he married Minnie Williamson. In 1910 he was employed as a bank cashier in Yanceyville, NC. By 1920, the family has moved to Danville, VA were he is employed as a warehouse tobaccoist and in 1930 as a tobacco co warehouseman. Frederick and Minnie had four children: James, Bedford, Annie and Frances. Their son James was the only child to marry. Frederick and Minnie are buried side-by-side at Rose Hill. Three of their four children are buried with them in the same plot. Their son James is buried in a nearby plot with his wife, Mary Skipwith.
