Son of A.D.Browning, he entered The U.S. Army Infantry on October, 15, 1942. Wofford served in the Phillipines and was Killed In Action Nov. 5, 1944 on the island of Leyte.

Pvt. Browning was born June 23, 1922 at Chandler, Tx.. He was engaged in farming with his father when he entered the service. He had been overseas only a short time. He was survived by his father: A.D. Browning, Chandler and a brother: George Welch Browning, Chandler; uncles Jack Browning, Athens and Kenneth E. Browning, Brownsboro.
