Rebecca "Beckie" Jane Stacy, 81, formerly of Abilene passed away Monday, November 29, 2021, in Katy, TX.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at 1:00 PM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5750 US HWY 277 S., Abilene, TX. A private interment will follow at Dressy Cemetery, Cross Plains, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 4 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Beckie was born in Abilene, TX to the late Johnnie Ashworth and Flossie Mills on April 26, 1940. She married Fred W. Stacy on November 6, 1954 they were blessed with 48 years of marriage until his passing on March 15, 2003. She lived in Abilene until 2010 when she moved to Katy, TX to live with her son Steve Stacy. She was a member of the Katy Church of Christ. Beckie was an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling with her friends Janice Gibbs, Ann Wetsel, and Jodie Lane. Beckie was elected to the Abilene Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 1993-1994, a Life Member of the Abilene WBA, President of the Association from 1990-1994 and Women's City Champion in 1976-1977. She also enjoyed playing bridge and golf, especially the parent-child golf tournaments at Shady Oaks. She loved her family and was the happiest when the family would come together.

Beckie was also preceded in death by her daughter Tina Stacy, and her son Mike Stacy.

Beckie is survived by her son Steve Stacy and wife Karen; and her daughter-in-law Daphne Stacy.
6 grandchildren: Jason Shipley, Amy Velez, John Stacy, Jennifer Shipley, Steven Stacy, Jr., and Austin Stacy;
12 great grandchildren: Ayden, Marcus, Madilynn, Jacie, Efrain Michael, William, Rhett, Solomon, Salvador, Jude, Gabe, and Luke; plus numerous extended family and dear friends.
