Funeral services for Don F. Miller, prominent Wyoming businessman, were held in the Congregational Church last Saturday with Rev. Joseph W. Carroll of Colorado Springs, Colo., a former pastor of the local church officiating.
Pallbearers were Marshall Loper, Frank Graves, Harry Best, Mike Fesler, Robert Hegwood, and Marion Glen. Honorary pallbearers were LaVern Stisser, Kervis Williamson, CA Morrow, Elmer Hendrick, Robert Jackson and Don Arganbright.
Military rites were conducted in the Wyoming Cemetery by the American Legion Post No. 91.
Don F. Miller, a son of W. Fred and Maude Miller died suddenly in his home in Wyoming Wednesday, December 12, 1962, the victim of a heart attack. He was born near Laura January 18, 1916, and grew to manhood in that vicinity. He attended the schools there and was graduated from Princeville Community High School.
He was united in marriage to the former Evalyn Breese in Ft. Sumner, NM, June 28, 1944. They are the parents of two children, Robert, a senior in Wyoming Community High School and Dana, an eighth grade student in the Wyoming Elementary School.
Mr. Miller was a member of the Wyoming Congregational Church, a veteran of World War II, a member of Wyoming post of the American Legion and a member of the Wyoming Masonic Lodge 179 AF&AM. He was a past-president of the Wyoming Commercial Club.
He operated the Phillips 66 Service Station in Wyoming, was the owner-operator of two buses for Wyoming Community High School and was the owner of a fuel oil business purchased from the late M.G. Humphrey.
In addition to his widow and children, Mr. Miller is survived by his father, Fred Miller of Princeville, four sisters, Ileen and Virginia Miller at home and Mrs. George McCartney and Mrs. Bud Clark of Princeville, and a brother, Gene, at home.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1951 and a brother, William F., in 1959. Cox Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.
