Samuel is my Great Great Grandfather (paternal). He moved from PA in the 1850's and lived either in WV or VA. He lived in Carroll, IL in 1867. He married Sarah Margaret Barrett on 29 Apr 1862 in Frederick, VA. They had several children: Charlotte Emaline, William Edgar, Nannie E., Jerome T., Alvin, Edward Franklin and Ward. There is also a Jay Calvin listed as a son in familysearch.org but have not found proof to that effect as of yet.

His parents were Samuel Mummert Jr. and Elizabeth Bucher. Descendant of Detrick Mummert who came from Germany on Ship Harle in 1736 and settled in Pennsylvania. Their religion at time of landing was Church of the Brethren. There is a church cemetery called Mummert's Meetinghouse Church and Cemetery in East Berlin, PA that the ancestors donated the land for in the late 1700's.
