18 May 2009: Mildred E. (Garman) Rutter, 98, formerly of Newmanstown, died May 12, 2009, of natural causes in the ECC Retirement Village, Albright Campus, Myerstown, where she resided since 2005. She was the widow of Charles S. Rutter, who died Jan. 12, 1976. Born Dec. 14, 1910, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Agnes (Miller) Garman. She was a member of Millcreek Lutheran Church, Newmanstown. She was a trimmer for the former Behney Shirt Factory. There are no immediate survivors. Burial will be Wednesday at noon in Millcreek Memorial Cemetery, Newmanstown. Hetrick-Mull Funeral Home Inc., Womelsdorf, is in charge of arrangements. [Reading Eagle]
