Shirley June Copeland Insco, 71, of Columbia, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at her residence. Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden with Bro. Bob Copeland officiating.

Burial was in Morgan Cemetery in Palmersville. Ryan Lee, Sammy Bessent, Jerry Max Copeland, Brian Gilbert and Chris Ragan served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Insco was born in Weakley County, daughter of the late James Henry and Bessie Vincent Copeland. She had worked as a CNA for the Weakley County Rehab and Nursing Center in Dresden and a Baptist.

Survivors include one daughter, Regina Gilbert of Columbia; one son, Steven Hodges of Williamston, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Judy Carol Dilday; one son, Danny Ray Hodges and five brothers, Joe William Copeland, James Thomas Copeland, John Henry Copeland, Doyle D. Copeland and David Earl Copeland.
