Joseph R. Wood, former Hutchinson County Commissioner, died Saturday at his home in Healdton, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Haile Baptist Church with the Rev. S.L. House, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the White Deer Cemetery under the direction of the Minton Mortuary.
Mr. Wood, 75, was formerly a county commissioner in precinct one (Spring Creek). He lived in the community for several years before moving to Healdton in 1955.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a sister, Mrs. J.F. Meadows of Floyd, New Mexico; and three step-children, Mrs. J.O. Sublett of Sacramento, California, M.E. Parr of Skellytown, and L.C. Parr of Pittsburg, California.
