DIED - November 23, at his residence in Waynesburg, of lung fever, James F. Wheeldon, aged 49 years, 2 months and 16 days. Deceased leaves a large family to mourn his loss. He was a kind father, a loving husband, a good citizen and a noble friend, and his loss is deeply regretted by all, and his family has the sympathy of the entire community. His illness was of short duration, he being sick but nine days, and his sufferings were very great. He was buried at the Wheeldon graveyard, on Wynoose. The funeral was attended by a large number of friends and relatives. The services were closed with the beautiful hymn, "Asleep in Jesus", sung by the Sardinia choir, and by the most beautiful prayer ever heard in this community, delivered by Rev. Ammerman.
