Obituary:
William H. "Whitey" Weston, 95, of North Irwin, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at his home. He was born June 26, 1908, in Rillton, a son of the late Robert and Olga Hindman Weston. Prior to retirement, he was the owner/operator of Weston Garage in Shafton and was a lifetime member of the L.O.O.M. #236 of Irwin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Noel Weston; and a brother, Robert Weston, who was killed in action during the World War II Battle of Midway. Surviving is a son, Neil Weston and his wife, Marlene, of North Irwin; three grandsons, Scott and wife, Stephanie, Kirk and wife, Sharon and Erik and wife, Tracy Weston; two great-grandsons, Zachary and Lucas Weston; a brother, Richard Weston, of Long Beach, Calif.; and two nieces, Peggy McLaughlin and Carol Ann Donnelly. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the JOSEPH F. OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 504 Oak St., Irwin. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. G. Keith Solomon officiating. Interment will follow in Irwin Union Cemetery, North Huntingdon. The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge Candy, Jay and Linda, Mr. Weston's caregivers, for their compassion and caring job. John F. Ott, assisting the family with arrangements.
