Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. McMullin-Young Funeral Home, Sullivan, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials: Moultrie County Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Smith was born in Effingham County on Dec. 5, 1908, the daughter of John Wesley and Louisa Cutright Barger. She was retired from Brown Shoe Co. and a member of the First United Methodist Church, Sullivan. She married Nelson B. Swinford in Hutsonville on Oct. 10, 1929. He preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1968. She married Raymond F. Smith in Las Vegas, Nev., on June 9, 1971.
Surviving are her husband; stepson, Howard Franklin Smith of Worthington, Ohio; stepdaughter, Jean L. Hight of Champaign; sister, Blanche Lake of Charleston; eight stepgrandchildren; six great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
