With profound, personal regret we note the death of M.J. Gomilla, of Brownsville, a cousin of President Monserrate of the G.W.T & P., and for years, agent of the Morgan steamship line and receiver of the Rio Grande railroad. He died on the 4th inst. of paralysis, at his home. His heart was broad and grand as the waters over which he faithfully gazed for years, watching for the grand old ships to cone in. No better friend, of kinder heart, ever breathed the breath of life, than Joe Gomilla, and we have cause to say it. He was forty-nine years of age and leaves a wife and grown daughter at Browsville.
