Geraldine "Gerry" Conley, 83, of Wake Forest, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2007.

Born in Carter County, TN, she was the daughter of the late William and Hettie Williams Johnson.

A 1942 graduate of Hampton High School, Mrs. Conley was employed by North America Rayon and the Hampton Post Office.

She was a member of Clark Street Baptist Church where she belonged to the Ladies Volunteer Sunday School Class and was also a prayer chain menber.

Her family and her grandchildren were the joys of her life, as was her church and woodworking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dock Conley; brother, Howard Johnson; great-granddaughter, Emma Dillow.

Survivors include her daughter, three brothers, three granddaughters, several nieces and nephews; special friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services with Rev. Mike Anglin officiating.

The Committal service will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be chosen from family and friends.
