Israel Lawing was in the 1870 census and 1880. He had remarried to Jane Morgan widow of Martin Nanney sometime before the 1880 census. They had a daughter named Ella Josephine Lawing born 11 Dec 1883. Her birth record stated father Isaac Lawing but there was no Isaac and it was Israel and the record is typed one that was obviously transcribed wrong from the written records. Her death record also named her mother Jane Morgan. Jane was living in McDowell Co. and her daughter was named Emma in that 1900 record, but she was Emily Lawing and her stepdaughter. But Ella Josephine was her daughter by Israel and she is in that census also. The dates in the 1900 census are slightly off but this is that family and Jane is surrounded by Morgan families.
