Russian nobility~ The wife of Grand Duke Michael Nikloaevich Romanov. Cecilie Auguste, Princess and Margravine of Baden, the youngest daughter of Grand Duke Leopold of Baden and Sophie Wilhelmine of Sweden became the beautiful bride of Grand Duke Michael on August 28, 1857 in the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. Cecilie took the name Olga Feodorovna following her conversion to the Orthodox faith. To this union seven children were born. Her husband was appointed to the post of Governor General of Caucasia in Tbilisi, which is the capitol city of the country of Georgia. All his children consider that city their hometown. A devoted wife and mother, she died at 51 years old leaving a husband and all her children to mourn her death.
